Twitter Updates

So recently there have been some cool ad campaigns using Augmented Reality (AR). Basically the idea behind it is that when you look through a camera not only do you see what is around you, but also some sort of animation, graphic or sign of some sort that is fixed to a real position that the AR program reads in real time. This sounds a bit confusing but it has been quite useful for marketing lately. One application that has already been released is on the Ray-Ban website. It’s a small application you can download that takes advantage of the camera that is on your computer. It allows you to select any pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and see what they would look like if you were actually wearing them. You can move your head any angle including moving closer and further from the screen. This is a great application because you can actually see how the glasses fit your face which helps with online ordering.

However, the sickest application is in works right now, Its basically for navigation on the Iphone. There are rumors of it being released sometime this month or in October.

    Check out the clip above.
